A few things to know
Is Veguide free?
Yes. Veguide is free and open source. Public database checks and local rules need no AI account. Optional AI providers have their own usage limits and charges.
Does it work for every product?
All product categories are in scope, including clothes and shoes. Available evidence varies. Veguide can return uncertain and explain what is missing.
Can I use my ChatGPT plan?
Eligible accounts can connect ChatGPT as an optional AI provider. The browser extension uses a small desktop companion for this connection. API-key connections work without the companion.
Where does product information come from?
Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts and Open Products Facts provide community product data. Supported AI connections can also research product sources. Community data and AI-read claims are not independent certification checks.
What about iPhone?
A native iOS app is planned for later. This release focuses on Android and desktop browsers.
